Laser Hair Reduction

What is laser hair reduction? How does it work?

LHR is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to remove unwanted hair from all parts of the body.

The laser device works by emitting pulses of light energy that penetrate the skin and destroy hair follicles while the device’s handpiece cools the surrounding skin.

Because the laser needs to fill the hair follicle to work effectively, it is important not to wax, tweeze, have electrolysis procedures or pluck hair for 2-4 weeks prior to the procedure

What type of laser hair reduction is offered at RECON?

At RECON, we offer the gold standard cutting edge TRIPLE WAVELENGTH ADVANCE DIODE LASER SYSTEM.

Its triple wavelength effectively and safely targets different tissue depths, all kinds of hair texture (fine and coarse).

It is also suitable for all skin tones.

When do the results show? How long does the effect last?

Because LASERS are effective only on actively growing hairs, multiple treatments will be required to achieve cosmetically acceptable results. LHR procedure generally involves a series of treatments. Usually 8 sessions are required for the face, but can vary from person to person.

The laser light causes permanent damage to the hair follicles and further disables its tendency to grow.

Number of sessions and end results vary from person to person.

Is laser hair reduction only for women?

Not at all! Both women and men can opt for LHR.

Women commonly ask for facial hair removal as well as full body hair removal.

Men usually go for beard lining, chest, back and underarms hair removal.

What were common side effects post-treatment?

Immediately following the laser treatment, the treated area will appear as a red discoloration and may have swelling. It usually subsides in 2-3 days.
